Hurricane Rated Windows & Doors
In 1987 James “Jim” Cayaves moved from Miami to Martin County to begin Panorama Windows & Doors. Jim saw a need in the marketplace for windows, doors, and fenestration. The company became a stocking dealer for Yale Ogron, focusing on awning and horizontal windows. At that time most windows were non-impact or hurricane. In 2001 Jim’s wife Patty joined him in the business.
In 1992 the industry began to change when Hurricane Andrew struck South Florida and Jim adapted. When Hurricanes Frances, Jean and Wilma struck South Florida in mid-2000, the industry continued to significantly change to hurricane and impact windows. All Building codes were improving, and Panorama incorporated these improvements. Furthermore our focus and speciality, became Hurricane & impact windows. Panorama moved to working with various installers and General Contractors (GC’s) on renovating, retrofitting & replacing windows, and doors to meet the new Building codes.Manufacturers like PGT, CGI and Southeastern Door became the large players in South Florida and Panorama was positioned to be a highly rated dealer for them.
Over the years Panorama has worked on projects in Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, Saint Lucie, and Indian River Counties. Projects include: home renovations, new homes, and full condominium complex window & door replacements.
Now over 35 years from its inception, Panorama Windows & Doors is considered a premier dealer & distributor in South Florida. We cater to both the GC’s and customers with exceptional service, accuracy, and expertise. We take the time to skillfully measure and verify all windows that are being ordered. We ensure the accuracy of the windows and ensure smooth installations. Our customer service is second to none. At the end of the project, we confirm standards have been met and that the window or door has been outfitted for the project.
